Parish councils

This page contains maps of the English parish councils, by principal local authority and, in the case of county-wide local authorities, by their former district. The maps are in pdf format. Welsh community councils will be added in due course.

Where there are large unparished areas - principally in large towns and cities, I have divided those unparished areas into neighbourhoods, based on my understanding of where those boundaries are. I may have drawn these boundaries incorrectly. You may not agree with the neighbourhoods I have drawn. But they are of no consequence other than to break up an unparished area into something more meaningful.

All unparished areas are shown with "(unparished)" next to their description in the key. Parishes with asterisks suffixed are those without parish councils - usually because their population is too small. These areas hold typically annual parish meetings, convened by the principal authority. These differ from areas that are not parished because they are constituted parishes.
